Habitat for Humanity
In 2008 CKC will be starting our 11th year with an ecumenical group called The Holy Hammers. The board approved the use of the Lenten offerings to help this year's project. The 2008 Holy Hammers project is a single family building on Randolph avenue in St. Paul. The foundation is in and capped and ready for construction. The Holy Hammers will begin building on April 14. CKC volunteers will work April 21, 22, 23, 24 and May 6, 19, 20, 21 and June 13. We will furnish the food and be site host May 19, 20 and 21.
Please check your schedule now for the days you will be available to help. There will be a signup sheet on the counter in the Narthex soon.

Tanzania - Masisiwe Mission Update
Greetings from Pastor Sagga, the District Pastor for Masisiwe.
"How are you? Happy New Year.
I am fine. I still remember you. Last month I was at Masisiwe.
They are well. Even yesterday I called Pastor Raphael. He is okay."
Motorbike update:
Our fund drive for a motorbike for
our sister congregation in Masisiwe, Tanzania,
has had a wonderful donation from the family of Sylvia Carlson. As a result
we need only a few hundred dollars to complete this project! Every donation
of any size is gratefully accepted. Watch the poster in the Narthex
to track our progress.
eBay and Craig's List
Wayne and Kathy Langstraat are
listing your donations of collectibles
or items of value ($20 and up) with the proceeds going toward
our Masisiwe projects. If you are interested please take an information flyer
on the poster in the narthex. They have already had their first sale,
a toy fire truck for $37 that went to Florida!!
