Worship
Purpose
The purpose of worship is to show our love for God. The Worship Ministry Team exists to plan worship services in conjunction with the pastors, coordinating the efforts of the musicians, worship participants and lay ministers. Additional events to celebrate the artistic gifts of the congregation members are also planned by the team.
King’s Choir
The King's Choir presents choral anthems on a regular basis to enhance worship and amplify the message of the scripture. The membership is open to any confirmed member of the congregation or by approval of the director.
Cherub Choir
The Cherub Choir provides the children of the congregation an opportunity for participation in worship by lifting the message of the scripture with appropriate music. The choir is open to children 3 years old through 3rd grade.
King’s House Band
The King's House Band shall lead and enrich the Contemporary/Praise Worship Services by providing song and music that praise God and amplify the message of the scripture. Membership in the King’s House Band is subject to the instrumentation/vocal needs of the group and requires an audition.
Joyful Noise Bell Choir
The Joyful Noise Bell Choir provides anthems on a regular basis to enhance worship and amplify the message of the scripture. They may provide music for additional worship services and special events throughout the year. They are open to any confirmed member of the congregation or by approval of the director.
Altar Guild Ministry
The Altar Guild prepares the sanctuary for worship services, most specifically the altar area. This shall include preparing the elements for communion, coordination of altar flowers, supplying baptismal napkins, and decorating the sanctuary according to the church seasons.
Artwork and Heritage Committee
The Artwork and Heritage committee catalogs all art work at Christ the King and monitor its care, use, and placement throughout the building. The committee shall be consulted when additional artwork is offered to Christ the King and before any artwork is accepted by Christ the King. The committee shall be consulted before any artwork is moved throughout the building and shall be consulted before any artwork is sold, given away, or disposed of.
